Thu 20 October 2016, 13:00 – 14:00 BST
A free lunchtime talk from Leeds University Library Special Collections conservator Eugenie Karen
Conservation tools come in many shapes and forms and each conservator builds up a personal collection with specific uses that become an integral part of their practice. Special Collections conservator Eugenie Karen takes the listener through a selection of her own tools and how she has applied them to specific projects.
Leeds University Library Special Collections contains some of the most outstanding collections of books and manuscripts in the country. It holds over 200,000 rare books and hundreds of thousands of manuscripts and archives, many of which are unique. The Treasures of the Brotherton Gallery is the public face of Special Collections and showcases some of the highlights from the collection. The Gallery is free and open to the public.
