Description

Eileen will discuss what the shepherds ate, the menus to which they refer and links to traditional food of the north of England.

Eileen White is an independent historian and one of the organisers of the Leeds Symposium on food History. She regularly edits the proceedings of the Symposium: volumes include ‘Feeding a City: York’. Eileen has a PhD from the School of History at the University of Leeds and has had a number of books published, such as ‘The English Kitchen’ and ‘The English Cookery Book’.
