Lutherie is the annual one-day conference for violin makers.
This year's conference takes place again in the beautiful Georgian Ballroom of Newark Town Hall. In the addition to the four presentations, tea, coffee and lunch will be provided. You will have a chance to replenish your stocks from the traders who will be selling materials, tools and fittings.
Our charity partner for 2024 is Luthiers sans Frontières. Please feel free to add a voluntary £5 donation to your ticket to support their valuable work.
For the second year, we will be running a Lutherie Forum for Students and Recent Graduates on Friday 3rd May. This will include a tool sale, a lecture/discussion on harvesting/seasoning wood and choosing wood, plus a "Speed Rating" event.
