Luton Nerd Night 1 : The Painters Arms and Edwardian Class Consciousness

Nerd Nights feature in-depth illustrated talks on topics of niche heritage interest. They take place in situ and are intimate in nature, with capacity limited and tickets reassuringly hard to come by.

A grade 2 listed building, The Painters Arms with its saloon, jug and public bars retains many of its original features such as frosted glass entrance doors, coloured glazed bricks and fireplaces.

On this evening we will discuss archive material, look around us at the distinctive characteristics of interior design and hear from relatives of landlords from the 1960s.
