LUX in Process[es]

LUX is a 60 min workshop involving either dancers or musicians. Can be a reoccurring event. It is first and foremost a demonstration of the inner workings of creation of an artistic expression that is developed by me and participating musicians or dancers. However audiences will be asked to join in through drawing as tools for this will be supplied, or in on explorations of movement.

The workshop - ceremony - begins with an opening by me, Johanna, welcoming audiences and explaining the aim of the workshop: finding an awakening of senses, tapping into listening and feeling the Earth. This process is led by my storytelling, almost as a meditation, aimed to have artists and audiences awaken their senses and allowing themselves to feel the Earth’s energies.

A second part of the creation process is a natural transgression from led storytelling and listening of practitioners to moments of action. Artists will begin their response exploring what they sense in response to the story. It is an improvised process that can take various forms. As improvised and hopefully involving several artists it will be a reciprocal and collaborative response.

LUX is an artistic project of the brand Sarta. It is an ongoing series exploring ways to artistically express the core structure of the brand, that is a collaboration between Earth and humans to restore environmental balance and thereby action safe futures. Creating like this, in collaboration within planetary boundaries, requires certain levels of human sensitivity. LUX thus is a project exploring sensitivity and aiming to reawaken sensitivity within audiences.
