OUR MENTORS:

Deanna Bains is a British-Canadian designer & illustrator with a passion for all things curious and playful. She approaches her work as a communication tool, aiming to tell unique stories and amplify voices along the way. Currently she works as a Senior Designer at a small branding & digital agency in London, and is always seeking ways to implement a sense of quirk into her work. In her spare time she can be found with a camera or ice cream in hand (very likely both).

Laura Bertinelli is a graphic designer and art director who works across visual communication, brand identity, editorial design and illustration. She loves to use type & bold colour palettes to create work that is fun, purposeful and makes people feel good. After 5 years working in-house in the retail & hospitality industries alongside marketing teams, she just started a new role at Paperchase where she designs product ranges, prints and branded communications.

Natalie Chen currently works as a Senior Book Cover Designer at Hodder & Stoughton and John Murray Publishers. Working across literary, commercial, fiction, non-fiction and a diverse range of genres. She is happy to both independently design and illustrate artworks herself or collaborate with other creatives. Highlights include working on the international bestseller The Girl with the Louding Voice which was selected as Waterstones Fiction Book of the Month and featured on the Sky Arts Book Club Live. She was a judge for the D&AD New Blood Awards and mentors for schemes such as Creative Access. www.nataliejade.co.uk

Caitlin Clancy is a Lisbon based British-Jamaican freelance designer and art director, passionate about visual storytelling, editorial and brands with purpose. Amy Foster - Head of Artist Management Agency Lo & Behold. Amy’s career began working as a runner for a post production company in Soho. After a short stint DJ’ing in New York, she got her desired break in the music industry, working in the Art & Video department at Island Records, then running the Art & Video department at Warner Music. From there, Amy set up Skinny Dip, a creative agency with a roster of 10 photographers and illustrators, working on global projects across music, fashion, publishing and advertising for clients including Starbucks, Nokia and Levi’s. In 2016 Amy decided to ‘re-imagine’ the agency set up, and rebranded to Lo And Behold Productions, with a small roster of artists including Dean Chalkley and Supermundane, which enabled her to work as an Associate Lecturer at various London Universities. At the heart of Amy’s approach is collaboration; in the long standing relationships forged throughout her career, but also in continuing to develop new talent; being part of a vast, connected network of creative, inventive, inspiring people. Amy is also a qualified yoga teacher and volunteers regularly with young people at Oasis Farm Waterloo.

Tamsin Fraser cut her teeth working for leading New Zealand design agencies before moving to London where she’s currently a senior designer/creative type at MSL – an integrated creative agency. Organiser Ladies, Wine and Design London

Organiser of LWD London Virtual Portfolio Review

Jessica Walsh started Ladies*, Wine** & Design in New York after doing a lot of thinking and reading on why there are so few women creative directors. She believes we can change that through mentorship and championing others' work. We couldn't agree more, and we also think it would be fun to meet other lady creatives, so we reached out to her and Ladies, Wine & Design London was born.

*Our meetings are inclusive and supportive spaces for all women (trans, intersex and cis) and all nonbinary, agender and gender variant people. Self-definition is at the sole discretion of that individual. If you are here it is because you feel that you are included by our gender inclusion policy, and therefore you are welcome. Our meetings and spaces are not open to people who identify solely or primarily as men. If you have any queries regarding our gender inclusion policy, please don’t hesitate to ask questions.

**booze is entirely optional you can drink tea, coffee or soft drinks too!
