Description

‘Listening to be Heard. Experiences of Effective Leadership’

A themed evening with keynote speaker Johann Malawana and guest speakers Caroll Macey and Emily Maile.

The very lifeblood of human relationships is the ability to communicate. These skills are essential for a successful career in medicine but also a key requirement for successful endeavours as clinical leaders. Many of the problems which face us all, where ever we are working in the NHS, stem from poor communication skills. When you improve the quality of your communication skills, you can make a big impact on these problems. A big step along this road is to learn how to listen.

The key purpose of the evening is to reflect on events that have been occuring in modern medicine and to discuss the key skills and attributes our speakers have learnt to apply that have helped them in their leadership journeys.

By enhancing these skills as individuals, we can bring together colleagues and ultimately train ourselves up into the effective clinician leaders the NHS so desperately needs.

Join us for an evening that will help give you the skills and inspiration to do this. The evening will begin with a buffet and ability to network with colleagues.
