Werewolves meets transness in an exploration of masculinity.
About this event
When Lyle began medically transitioning, he knew to expect muscles, a deeper voice, body hair. What he wasn’t prepared for were the growls in his throat. The full moon blackouts. The rage. With werewolves making up a significant amount of the male population, he’s far from alone. But how does he balance monstrosity and manhood?
Lycanthropy explores the places where trans masculine experiences meet toxic masculinity and asks the question, what does it mean to be a man?
A work-in-progress spoken-word show by Gray Crosbie, developed with funding from Creative Scotland and The National Lottery.
