Event description

Description

The first in this series of three, standalone, weekly interactive presentations will cover how to find and generate great lyric ideas and plan a well-structured original song.

By analysing contemporary and classic songs you will learn the elements of what makes a great lyric and invaluable advice on each of those elements that contribute to a balanced whole.

The session is suitable for all songwriters, whether pure lyricists or composers.

Each week in the series is designed to be standalone. Two subsequent weeks will cover comprehensive techniques available to develop and polish those ideas into finished lyrics:

02/10/19 – Lyric Writing: Developing your lyrics with Imagery, Storytelling and Rhyme
09/10/19 – Lyric Writing: Enhancing your lyrics with Wordplay, Meter and Singability

There is more than enough information each week to be taken as a standalone session and the price is discounted by 15% to £17. However, sign up for all three sessions and the total is just £47:

25/9, 02/10, 09/10/19 – Lyric Writing: The Essential Guide! – 3-week course

Tea, coffee, water and other WeWork beverages will be provided free of charge. There are limited places available so please book in advance.

Nearest tubes are Moorgate and Liverpool Street.

Also don't forget to register your interest for a discount on our fabulous Autumn Peak District Songwriting Retreat:
