Set in the charming and scenic village of Lythe on the North Yorkshire Coast, Lythe Chamber Music Summer Course 2017 offers 5 days of in-depth instruction in a friendly and informal setting, provided by experts from period-instrument group, Ensemble DeNOTE and historical keyboard builders, Johannes Secker whose workshop is nearby.
Intensive individual tuition on fortepiano, harpsichord, clavichord; early woodwinds and strings.
Keyboard maintenance sessions (group and individual) with Johannes Secker.
Lythe Chamber Music course offers you the chance to:
-Develop chamber music skills in baroque and classical repertoires
-Learn about Historically Informed Performance from world-class experts
-Gain first-hand experience of playing high-class historical instruments or copies
-Meet new friends and explore new repertories
-Perform informally and in concert settings
-Learn about the construction and special tunings used in baroque and classical music
-Develop your performance craft including mastering auditions, performance stress and the unexpected
Suitable for students, teachers and amateur musicians from grade 6 upwards!
