Description

More than 100 people have registered for the annual update on the state of the market, regeneration plans and factors driving development in Greater Manchester.

The half-day event on Thursday 27 April at the Village Hotel in Ashton-under-Lyne will run along the following agenda, with approximate times shown, subject to change if required:

8am Registration, refreshments, networking

8.30am Start. Introduction from conference chair, Paul Unger, editor, Place North West

8.45am Presentation by Cllr Richard Farnell, leader of Rochdale Council and lead member of housing and planning at Greater Manchester Combined Authority

9.00am Paul Smith, managing director of Strategic Land Group and member of Housing the Powerhouse campaign

9.15am Panel: Topics include housing, planning, Greater Manchester Spatial Framework, GMCA. The right level of targets for housing and employment space. Is there such a thing as ‘enough growth’? What to do about green belt. Implications of mayoral election.

M60 Towns Development Conference, in association with Slater + Gordon and Kier, is due to take place on the morning of Thursday 27 April from 8am to 12 noon followed by lunch. The venue is Village Hotel Club Ashton Moss OL7 OLY.

The event is aimed at anyone interested in doing business in the GM towns, and will provide an overview of the markets for developing commercial and residential space.

Tickets are priced at £50+VAT and include refreshments throughout.
