Macrame Festive Decorations Workshop
Wed 14 December 2016, 18:30 – 20:30 GMT
We've teamed up with the wonderful Friends of Ham to bring you a festive macrame workshop at their exciting new venue, Ham and Friends.
In this workshop you will learn a range of really valuable and exciting macrame techniques to make a set of beautiful and delicate decorations for your home or to give as a unique handmade gift.
We will be using soft, natural cotton yarn and rope with reclaimed rings and we will guide you through techniques such as larks head, clove hitch, gathering and square knots.
Everything you learn will be transferable to other projects and not only will you leave with finished decorations but the skills and confidence to create more items including wall hangings, jewellery and plant hangers.
A perfect way to spend an evening being creative, macrame is a great way to relax and unwind.
To make it even more of a special evening, you will also get a glass of mulled wine, olives, corn and snacking meat courtesy of Ham and Friends who specialise in quality and delicious food and drink.
This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners or those wanting to refresh their skills and all materials are included.
Stitch-Up CIC is a social enterprise and as with all of our workshops and services, any profits made are reinvested to help us deliver craft workshops and creative projects to those that need it most across our Leeds communities as well as supporting makers to thrive in a modern world.
