acramé comes from a 13th-century Arabic weavers’ word migramah meaning “fringe”. It has a long history and developed by many different cultures, every single culture gave its own colours and meanings.

Macramé is a form of textile-making using knotting techniques. It was also long crafted by sailors, especially in elaborate or ornamental knotting forms, to decorate anything from knife handles to bottles to parts of ships.

Nowadays, with the development of more types of materials and colours, of course, a lot of creative minds, Macrame became one of the most popular ways to creating jewellery and wall hanging decorations.

What will you be doing during this workshop?

1. You will be showing how to make basic knots. Don't worry there aren't too many of them and they are super simple.

2, This workshop is for absolute beginner so we will use the most basic techniques, playing with beads and colours to create your first every own friendship bracelet, it is great way to get introduced to this amazing technique, if you are feeling very comfortable and willing to explore more exciting projects, please let us know, we also have Advanced workshops you can choose from.
