Create colourful macramé keyrings using basic knots, at Share Bristol The Library of Things, Bedminster.
Get started with the enjoyable craft of macramé in this beginner-friendly workshop! You'll learn how to master a few easy knots and use these fundamentals to create your very own colourful keyrings.
Guided step-by-step by your tutor Sam, the maker behind SC Knits, you'll work with colourful, hand-dyed cotton yarn provided for the class. Choose your preferred colours, and Sam will lead you through each loop and knot needed to complete your piece. No previous experience is necessary for this creative activity, making it suitable for adults and children aged 7 years and older.
By the end of the session, you'll have several finished keyrings for you to display on keys or as a bag charm.
Workshop includes:
- Unlimited colourful cord options and keyring attachments. You can make as many as you like within the session
- Expert tuition from Sam
- Example pieces for inspiration
- Refreshments (hot and cold drinks)
- Your beautifully finished keyrings to take home
If you wish to continue your macramé journey extra cord and accessories will be available to purchase separately at the workshop.
Both sessions at Share Bristol are drop-in workshops. You may arrive and leave at anytime within the 2 hour (13/06) or 3 hour (22/06) period.
This activity can also be arranged as a creative addition to private parties, gatherings, or social events. For private bookings, please contact the host, Sam, to discuss possibilities. Note that venue provision or hire costs may apply for private arrangements. You'll finish the workshop feeling accomplished, ready to hang your lovely handmade creation!
