About this event

Community • Other

The Centre for Mad Culture UK offers a hub of information, creative activity, and community building – all in support of the mad movement.

Join directors Julia Macintosh and Azra Khan as they introduce their work within the context of this year’s Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival theme, Comfort and Disturb.

Through talks, discussion questions, and an interactive activity, we’ll explore how mad knowledge can both comfort through community and disturb common fears and stigma surrounding madness. This is a chance to celebrate the power of mad voices, connect with others, and spark new conversations about culture, creativity, and justice.
