2025 is a milestone year for the Malawian duo: a brand new album Ma Gitala, the release of The Banjo Boys documentary, and a whirlwind European tour that includes a stop at Glastonbury Festival. With over 300 international shows under their belt, Madalitso Band’s journey from the streets of Lilongwe to global stages is nothing short of remarkable.
This unique event, presented in collaboration between Band and Patch, will feature a short film screening preview of the forthcoming documentary, The Banjo Boys, which follows the story of the band from their humble beginnings performing on the streets of Lilongwe, to their adventures as a world-travelling band. Followed by a Q&A with the band themselves, hosted by Stuart Marshall from Success on the South Coast . We’ll close the evening with the joyful, foot-stomping live performance that Madalitso Band is known and loved for.
