Want to learn more about why or how your business could get involved with Made in Chesterfield? Local property, construction, engineering and manufacturing businesses are welcome to book a place and come along to this session to learn more about the campaign, the process of getting involved and even pick up some hints a tips on how to make tours exciting and engaging for schools.

Direct Education Business Partnership (DEBP) are responsible for coordinating the school visits to local businesses. A representative will be on hand to update you on the process for getting involved and answer any questions you may have.

A representative from United Cast Bar Ltd, who has been supporting Made in Chesterfield for more than 8 years, will also be available to share hints and tips or answer any questions you may have on delivering tours/sessions to schools.

Overall, this event is an opportunity to learn more about Made in Chesterfield, understand how your business could get involved and gain hints and tips from other businesses on delivering tours/sessions to schools.

About Made in Chesterfield

Made in Chesterfield is a celebration of the manufacturing, engineering, science and technology industries and careers in the town. The campaign looks to inspire the next generation to the industry, with businesses, schools and training providers coming together to showcase the sector.

Since Made in Chesterfield was established, more than 3,500 young people from schools have spent time in the area’s manufacturing and engineering businesses. Chesterfield College, have seen an increase in the number of students getting involved in STEM related subjects since the initiative was launched.

Made in Chesterfield is a great opportunity of raising the profile of your company, whilst supporting the development of the next generation of employees in Chesterfield. We want young people to be inspired in the careers that are available in and around Chesterfield and who better to tell that story than the people who own and work at successful local companies!

Made in Chesterfield is coordinated by Destination Chesterfield and Direct Education Business Partnership and delivered in association with the Chesterfield College Group and with support from Chesterfield Borough Council, Derbyshire North Careers Hub, MSE Hiller, United Cast Bar Ltd, and Natwest.
