About this event

Take on the Cow and Calf Abseil and an epic Tyrolean Traverse for Maggie's Yorkshire on Saturday 27th September.

The team from Carnegie Great Outdoors will be showing you the ropes on this incredible challenge. The abseil is open to everyone with no experience necessary!

With an aim to raise £250, your fundraising will help us to continue to support people with cancer and the people they love from across Yorkshire.

Once you have a registered, a member of the team will be in touch to arrange your abseil time.
The whole abseil experience will take 1-1.5hours from your arrival time.

There is a waist limit to the Carnegie Great Outdoor harnesses of 59 inches.
Children over the age of 10 can take part with an adult, please contact the team at yorkshirefundraising@maggiescentres.org to discuss this further.

If you have any questions about accessibility, please get in touch with the team at yorkshirefundraising@maggiescentres.org.

Maggie’s provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends, following the ideas about cancer care originally laid out by Maggie Keswick Jencks.

Built in the grounds of NHS cancer hospitals, Maggie's centres are places with professional staff on hand to offer the support people need.

Our centres are places to find practical advice about benefits and eating well; places where qualified experts provide emotional support; places to meet other people; places where you can simply sit quietly with a cup of tea.

The first Maggie’s opened in Edinburgh in 1996 and since then Maggie’s has continued to grow, with 26 centres at major NHS cancer hospitals in the UK and abroad.
