L.A based Magic Wands are known for their colorful and exciting live shows as well as their melodic

and catchy hits "Black Magic”, “Teenage Love” and the electrifying single "Space”. The band released their debut LP Aloha Moon to commercial and critical acclaim in 2012 via Bright Antenna Records, followed by the equally exciting Cleopatra Records LP release Jupiter in 2016. The band has performed live on BBC1 Radio and XFM and have been remixed by The XX and Crystal Fighters (featured #1 in NME) as well as have toured extensively, sharing bills with The Horrors, The Black Keys, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Raconteurs, The Wombats, The Kills and more.

We're delighted to welcome back Charles Howl, a London based musician, backed by a group of fellow talents, all with previous success in other touring bands.

They have a few records under their belts since forming in 2013, including their 2015 debut LP "Sir Vices", a self-titled EP for PNKSLM Recordings and their most recent LP "My Idol Family" in which seemingly Howl has found his voice both with his more confident singing style but also in his lyrics, which are more prominent in the mix. The album title emerged from the overarching themes of family and idols, and how people idolise celebrities and try to emulate their lifestyle. This is encapsulated in the song “Meet Lou’s Needs”, about so many people in music trying to copy Lou Reed’s look, music, attitude and his drug habits. As Charles says; “I love Lou Reed but I don’t want to see shit imitations of him every time you go see a show or after party.” Idols are also flagged up in the song “John Albarn”, where he imagines two of his musical heroes as one seamless being – John Lennon + Damon Albarn = John Albarn.
