Looking for a refreshing way to explore the South of Glasgow and its surrounding countryside? The Magnificent 11 Heritage & Environment Walk (inspired by the Glasgow Ramblers' new map of this route) offers the perfect opportunity to get active, enjoy nature, and discover hidden corners of our great city and its natural habitats.

Covering everything from green spaces and Sites of Special Scientific Interest to impressive architecture and local history, this trail has something for everyone [aged 16+].

The full trail should take 4-4.5 hours to complete.

Is the walk accessible?

Unfortunately, due to elevation and terrain, sections of the trail are not wheelchair accessible nor suitable for those with mobility impairments.

What should I wear?

Outdoor wear and boots are advised.

Are there toilet facilities?

No. Unfortunately, toilet facilities are not available on weekends and holidays.

What are the closest transporation links to the meeting point / is there parking?

The nearest train station is Cathcart (5-7 minutes walk away), and Buses 4, 4A & 6 also stop near the station. Additionally, there is on-street parking nearby.
