TIPS FOR CONFIDENT PRESENTING
Do you dread giving a presentation, or speaking to a group? Does your stomach feel like it’s full of butterflies, a flock of birds or even a cement mixer when it’s your turn to speak? Would you like to be able to present yourself and your business with confidence? Linda will be sharing some helpful tips and techniques of handling nerves when speaking and presenting, as well as some useful techniques for planning and structuring a presentation.
Being able to present yourself and your business with confidence and clarity will provide credibility. It is a well-known fact that the thing people fear most is public speaking - and it is this fear that can sometimes create a poor impression when presenting at networking events, when pitching for business and when speaking to an audience. I will be providing tips on using your head, heart and hands to make you appear confident, even if those butterflies, birds and cement mixers are making their presence felt! In this taster session, we will be covering:
- Techniques for handling nerves when speaking/presenting
- Engaging Your Audience
- Body Language, Stance and the Obama Pause
- Techniques for those moments when your mind goes blank
- Structuring a Presentation – what you must do
You will also take away a handout detailing the tips covered during the session and an action plan to help you make a difference to your own presentations.
