The Magnum Learn Online Seminar Series will help photographers answer these questions and more and offer advice from renowned industry experts and Magnum photographers. The special series of three, affordable online seminars aims to inspire and help kickstart your photographic projects in 2021.

The seminars will take place on Zoom Video Webinar. The Magnum Learn team will be on hand to help with any difficulties joining the event. Participants will be encouraged to submit questions using the chat option. Those who are not able to attend will receive the video and audio of the seminar after the event which can be viewed for a month.

Led by curator and visual editor Marc Prüst and featuring a lecture by Magnum photographer Cristina de Middel, this in-depth online seminar will provide you the practical tools to successfully develop a photo story in challenging economic environments.

Drawing from the conclusions of his research project “Tell Your Story”, Marc Prüst discusses how you can take control of your project and its outputs by looking at various forms of storytelling. Prüst shares how to identify the right format for your story, which platforms are ideal for publishing your project and how branding and marketing can help you get your work seen.
