Magpie's Nest: London
Event Information
About this Event
This June, discover a hidden palace on the banks of the Thames…
Wander from stage to stage with music all around you, and take in the views across the river as you listen to songs by the fireside. See what treasures you might find in the grounds of the Master Shipwright's.
Lineup:

Sura Susso • “Exquisite kora playing” – Cerys Matthews, Songlines
Iona Lane • “Iona Lane seems to me already to have a very strong identity and focus as an emergent young artist.” – Karine Polwart (2020)
Maspindzeli • “Ancient polyphonic sounds of Georgia (bare, beautiful and once heard never forgotten) from this London-based choir.” — Time Out
Andrew Cronshaw - British multi-instrumentalist, playing a 74-stringed electrified chord zither, marovantele, a wide range of wind instruments including fujara and ba-wu.
Alvorada - “Inventive harmonies and unpredictable melodic twists” ★★★★★ – Songlines magazine
Lunch Special - London-based bluegrass and Americana band
With more to be announced!
This event has been created with safety for Covid-19 in mind, and as such has a significantly reduced audience size. It reflects all the spirit and joy of our summer festivals, but has been specially devised to work in these times of distancing and restrictions. It will be smaller, but just as beautiful. If by the summer the situation allows, we will release a second wave of tickets.
We anticipate that this event will be able to go ahead, however we will keep ticket holders updated with any changes, and should cancellations be necessary then ticket transfers or full refunds will be available.
Tickets on sale & lineup announcement on Wednesday 3rd February
