Event description
Part of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society Inspiring People talks programme. The next 50 years of lunar science and exploration.

About this Event

Fifty years since the Moon Landings, our closest celestial neighbour is becoming a favourite target for space-faring nations and commercial entities. In addition to national pride and scientific curiosity, this renaissance is driven by an increased realisation that the Moon could be a technology testbed for exploring more distant bodies. Join Dr Mahesh Anand of the Open University as he explores how and why the Moon could play host to a sustainable human presence as we enter an era of ‘New Space’.

Our thanks to The Open University in Scotland for sponsoring this event.

Tickets are on sale here or on the door; RSGS Members and students are entitled to free entry on the door - all subject to availability.
