Why are we hosting a PED Showcase Event?
The MAHSC Cancer Domain is holding a showcase event to emphasise the strategic importance of cancer prevention and early detection (PED) and strengthen the research community in this field.
It is open to all university and NHS researchers, across northern England, including those not currently involved in cancer research.
This meeting held at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust and hosted by Professor Sir Salvador Moncada on 28th September, will showcase the best cancer PED research as part of a wider initiative to encourage other researchers to incorporate cancer PED in their work.
‘Cancer PED is now the strategic focus for the domain’ said Professor Sir Salvador Moncada, Academic Lead, MAHSC Cancer Domain. ‘The showcase will explore the crucial importance of PED, our ambitions and engage attendees in moving this work forward.
‘By sharing current thinking in the poster presentations, we hope this will stimulate our researcher community to integrate cancer PED in their future research’,
