In our first event Stella McCartney, Antoine Arnault (Image & Environment at LVMH) and Chantal Gaemperle (EVP Human Resources and Synergies at LVMH) will be joined by students, graduates and Maison staff in celebrating partnership successes.

Our afternoon symposium will consider ways that Maison/0 can foster regenerative practice across disciplines in the future.

Maison/0 for regenerative luxury, 12:00 - 13:00 BST

Our host, Malcolm-Curtis Hill (MA Fashion Communication and Promotion: Fashion Journalism graduate) will be joined by students, graduates and Maison staff in marking a new five-year chapter and celebrating partnership successes.

• Chantal Gaemperle (EVP Human Resources and Synergies at LVMH) and Jeremy Till (Head of Central Saint Martins) discuss both partners' commitment to the next generation.

• 5 LVMH scholars, past and present, discuss their final projects. Hear from Mizuki Tochigi (BA Jewellery Design), Seli Korsi (BA Fashion), Jimmy Howe (MA Fashion), Annalisa Iacopetti (MA Design: Furniture) and Benjamin Benmoyal (BA Fashion).

• Antoine Arnault (Image & Environment at LVMH) and Rachel Dickson (Dean of Academic Programmes at Central Saint Martins) outline the importance of addressing climate and biodiversity emergency.

• Alexandre Capelli (Environment Deputy Director at LVMH) and Prof Carole Collet (Director of Maison/0) present LVMH LIFE 360 and Maison/0 environmental strategies and future plans for Maison/0.

• Stella McCartney talks to Daniela Benaim (previous LVMH scholar and Central Saint Martins graduate) about the challenges facing the fashion industry today and how fashion can be regenerative.

• Jacques Cavallier (Master Perfumer at Louis Vuitton) and MA Biodesign student Eleonora Rombolà discuss regenerative agriculture and ways in which the perfume manufacture can support the preservation of biodiversity.

Design for Life: How do we design for regenerative luxury? A Maison/0 symposium

Join us to explore the achievements of Maison/0 and how, both through the partnership and individually, Central Saint Martins and LVMH aim to tackle climate and biodiversity emergency. Each session will end with a Q&A session at which speakers will answer questions from the audience.

Part 1: How can we leverage creativity to develop new regenerative models? 14.00 BST

• Prototyping regenerative luxury - Prof Carole Collet introduces regenerative luxury and the activities that Maison/0 supports
• Design for Nature - MA Biodesign students share their work for a Maison/0 project producing outputs for the IUCN Congress on Nature 2021
• Material-led innovation for luxury stores - hear from design and architecture graduates about their work in developing new materials for use in luxury stores

Part 2: Co-creating a better future: collaborations with Louis Vuitton 15.05 BST

• Designing products through circular creativity
• Designing window displays through circular creativity
• Designing Social Sustainability into Luxury Business - Nick Rhodes (Programme Director Product, Ceramics and Industrial Design) and Ninon Galice (CSR Manager at Louis Vuitton) speak about a recent project with MA Fashion and MA Industrial Design

Part 3: LIFE 360 across LVMH Maisons: actions on circularity, biodiversity, climate and transparency, 16.05 BST

Alexandre Capelli (Environment Deputy Director at LVMH) leads a session about LVMH's LIFE 360 environmental strategy with representatives from LVMH Maisons Loewe, Guerlain, Bulgari and Patou.
