Two half day workshops on major donor fundraising.
Workshop 1 (Thursday morning 20 October 2016, Cardiff): “Is it for your organisation” focuses on what major donor fundraising involves including why wealthy people give, getting your organisation ready and knowing your story. It is a practical workshop and all participants should come with materials they use in their own fundraising and be ready to share on a peer-to-peer basis.
Workshop 2 (Wednesday morning 30 November 2016, Cardiff): “Making the ask” will help you think about how you would present your organisation and its appeal to potential major donors. It is a workshop which involves role play so there will be a very immediate opportunity for you to reflect and try out some of the things covered. (Please purchase separately for this workshop)
Notes: (1) While the workshops are stand-alone, if you are new to major donor work then it is recommended that you participate in both. (2) Neither workshop covers research techniques and resources
