This event will be held online.
Makaton is a communication programme that helps support children with their speech, language and communication through signs and/or symbols. Many pre-schools and primary schools use Makaton to support children's understanding and learning.
The workshop is 2 hours and covers what Makaton is, how to use it and the many benefits of the use of Makaton within your role.
The resources and ideas for implementation are shared, with a segment specifically on using visual resources. It is a fun, relaxed and practical workshop and will leave having the confidence to begin using Makaton straight away in practice.
The course will consist of 2 hour after school online session.
All sessions run from 3:00pm – 5:00pm.
Participant booklet (hard copy) will be provided in the training and a Certificates of attendance will be received on completion.
