Make a Change is a multi-tiered and early response to the perpetration of domestic abuse which was developed by Respect in partnership with Women's Aid Federation England and draws on the Change That lasts model.
Make a Change is now open for referrals and self-referrals from anyone who lives and works in or has a connection to Trafford. Make a Change Trafford is delivered by Talk, Listen, Change (TLC) and TDAS (Trafford Domestic Abuse Services).
We provide expert support to those using abusive behaviour in their intimate relationships, separate and confidential support to their partners and ex-partners, Recognise, Respond & Refer training for trusted professionals, and broader support including outreach to local communities.
This training session is for frontline practitioners working in Trafford who come into contact with clients who they are concerned might be – or already are - using abusive behaviours in their intimate relationship(s). The training will focus on recognising the signs of domestic abuse perpetration, safely approaching the issue with clients, and engaging in a motivational conversation with a view to being able to refer to the Make a Change Programme.
There are no pre-requisites to attend this training session, and certificates will be available upon completion.
The training session will be delivered via Zoom. Zoom details will be sent to all participants separately prior to the training.
By registering, you agree to having the contact details you provide shared with TLC and TDAS.
