ABOUT THE ARTIST

Artist Alison Denholm is creating a flock of giant flamingos for this years Nottingham Carnival, on 18 August 2019.

Alison has been creating carnival art since 2007, and has put out parades across the UK. This year she is building giant puppets that will fit onto shopmobility scooters - so people who can’t normally take part in carnival get to be centre stage!

The 'Dancing Mobiles' project is supported by Arts Council England's Project Grants.
