Our basketry workshops are a fun introduction to this ancient craft.
Each month we make a different item so you can come to just one class and know you'll be proudly taking your willow creation home...you don't have commit to a whole course! And if you love it, book again next month when we'll be making something different.
This time we're making a birdhouse...although I fill mine with fairylights to decorate my garden!
You'll learn how to anchor the willow rods to a 'wood slice' base using a simple trak border.
Then you'll weave up the sides, shaping as you go to form the body of your birdhouse. Will you choose all one colour or add stripes?
Everything you need for this project will be provided, tools, materials and instruction.
There'll be tea and cakes and good company too 😀
This project is suitable for beginners.
