Booking required, FREE to attend
Celebrate the 350th birthday of John Lethbridge!
We don't know what exact day his birthday is, but the 3rd May was the day (in 1715) when he made his first experimental submersion.
Amazing inventions is the theme for May when we will be asking you to invent a robot or machine that will make the world a better place.
The museum highlights inventions important to the town, including the diving machine invented by local man, John Lethbridge. He became a multi-millionaire with his deep-sea invention as he was able to retrieve much sunken treasure and goods from shipwrecks for companies world-wide.
Fire up your imaginations and see what you can invent.
All children MUST be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the session.
'Ticket type 2- additional child' should only be added to orders which contain a 'ticket type 1-1 adult and 1 child'
If you would like to amend your booking please contact the museum on 01626 201121
Please let us know if you are no longer able to attend the workshop as we purchase enough supplies for the session for the number of people booked on. By letting us know you are unable to attend it avoids material waste and also allows us to offer your place to someone else.
If this workshop sells out and you would like to be added to the waiting list, please email Newton Abbot Museum at: groups@newtonabbot-tc.gov.uk or call the Museum on 01626 201121
