There is space to drop off at the church rooms, but please park in the Old Town car park for the duration of the session, its a 7 minute walk to the church rooms.

Are the church rooms accessible for everyone?

The workshop space is up some steep stairs and sadly, as the building is very old, we don't have a lift installed. This may make the session more difficult to access for those with mobility issues.

Do you have to go to church to come along?

Certainly not! This session is for everyone, of all faiths and none.

Why are you running this session?

As a church we serve our community and this extends to creating fun experiences to bring people together. We believe everyone should be able to access and experience the kind of community we enjoy, whether you go to church or not.

Welcome to Make, Bake and Break Bread!

Join us on Saturday 18th October, 2025 at 11:30 AM at St Mary the Virgin Church Rooms (across the road from the church) for a fun and delicious bread making workshop.

Learn how to make your own bread from scratch, and as it proves, enjoy breaking bread together with a tasty lunch provided by our fabulous friends from Seasons Cafe.

Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned baker, this event is perfect for anyone who loves to share in the simple pleasure of freshly baked bread. Come hungry and ready to get your hands doughy! We look forward to seeing you there!

What you can expect:
