Make Believe: Imagining the Technology of the Future
Sat 29 April 2017, 13:00 – 15:00 BST
Come play, imagine, tinker and invent at a free family event at the Leeds City Museum.
We want kids of all ages dreaming up and inventing the tech of their future using coding, hacking, animation and storytelling skills to encourage more children to consider a STEAM led career path.
Our city needs you to help us in our quest to inspire (and be inspired by) the next generation of inventors, imagineers and makers of toys, tech, games, rockets, robots, and ingenious devices not yet dreamed of.
Book your boarding pass to our free family event at Leeds City Museum. During the voyage there will be Making in Minecraft, Robot Racing, Creative coding, Tinkering (with a time machine) animation and storytelling camps.
Featuring Wizard Keen of Wonderquest, Grimm&Co, Scrap Leeds, Leeds Raspberry Jam, Gemma Latham Ross Atkin, and a whole host of inventors, makers, and creative technologists.
This event is part of the Technology strand at the inaugural Leeds International Festival: http://www.leedsinternationalfestival.co.uk/ and has been curated by Playful Anywhere www.playfulanywhere.com in partnership with Leeds Museums
