Make friends with your digital camera
Learn how to get the most out of your camera with a professional photographer, and experienced tutor. Suitable for absolute beginners or those who want to understand their aperture from their exposure meter! Sessions are run by local photographer and artist Sue Hamilton-White, who has an MA in Fine Art Photography. These sessions are specifically designed to instill confidence in your abilities as a photographer and will concentrate on composition, light, camera controls, technical aspects and most importantly, enjoying all that your camera has to offer.
We will take a walk around historic Crystal Palace Park in order to capture the best of what is available visually. At the end of the session you will have a greater understanding of the basic elements of a great photograph, and a renewed enthusiasm in your equipment.
* please bring your camera with spare memory and fully charged battery * We will take a 20 minute break half-way through the session. Number of participants is limited to 5 in order to ensure individual attention.
Sue set up Untapped in 2010, an arts organisation and social enterprise, dedicated to unlocking the creative potential of vulnerable individuals. The profits from these sessions go towards art and photography projects for community groups including children with special educational needs, oncology patients at Bournemouth Hospital and art workshops with older people with dementia. www.untapped.org.uk
