Make Music Using Plants!

By Hive Curates

Overview

Play with plants as instruments! Join artists Daphne & Ang for a fun, free workshop creating a park soundscape for Light Up Kilburn 2026.

Join us at Kilburn Grange Park for a free workshop, led by artists Daphne and Ang, in which they will teach you how to use their field recording kit to capture the sounds of the park’s plants. After recording the sounds of the plants, Daphne and Ang will teach you how to play with the plants like an instrument guiding you to collaboratively create your own soundscape from these sounds that will be showcased at Light Up Kilburn Festival on the 27th and 28th February!

Daphne Ting-Yu Chu and Shu Ang Yeh are London-based Taiwanese light artists working across installations, architecture, and live performance. They specialise in interactive works that invite audiences to move beyond observation into active participation.

Please arrive at The Playhut in Kilburn Park (Kilburn State of Mind) for no later than 1:15pm, we then commence the workshop.
