Overview

Come join us to build cozy homes for our swift friends at the library - let's make sure they have a comfy place to stay through the winter!

Come and join us down at Paddington Children's library to build Swift boxes!

In collaboration with Grand Junction & the European Cultural Foundation, we'll be running a swift box workshop to provide a home to the ultimate aviators in the sky! On the 7th November at 3pm, bring down your children to learn about habitat creation and how they can help their local wildlife and plantlife through simple means.

All materials will be provided, this event is suitable to for children aged 4 & above.

Did you know?: According to old English superstitions, a swift flying into a house was considered an omen of death or great change. In Ireland, they were called "devil birds" because their screeching calls sounded eerie at dusk.
