Description

Meet and Munch - Friday 1st December (5pm - 8.30pm)

Workshop Jam Event - 2nd of December (10am - 4.30pm)

** Free event with travel costs and food provided **

This is a special time to be living in Scotland – with rapid political, social, and cultural change shaping the way we all think about our lives. Many of you feel immense pride in Scotland’s heritage, from arts and music to language and history. We can show how inclusive, open and diverse Scotland is to the world…but we need your help to make this happen!

Working with National Museums Scotland, we are developing a youth project – Scotland 365 – to look at some of these issues. This free event will allow up to 30 young people aged 16-25 to share their opinions and develop innovative ideas for the project. No previous experience or knowledge required, just some curiosity!

As part of Scotland 365, through museum collections, you will be able to share new ideas around how to capture Scotland’s stories from young people’s perspectives.

The Jam will include:

  • A VIP evening tour of Scotland’s collections after closing time (a night at the museum!) plus a yummy dinner on the 1st December

  • Working in teams to explore Scotland’s stories with other like-minded people to create fresh ideas for the future of Scotland’s national collections on the 2nd December

To get the most of the experience we advise attending the Meet and Munch plus the Workshop Jam event. If you are travelling from more than 2 hours away, we may be able to organise overnight accommodation if appropriate.

Places are limited! Any questions? We’d be happy to chat! Email: CoDesign@young.scot

We are happy to support anyone to attend. If you need additional assistance or have any specific requirements let us know.

This an event as part of the Scotland 365 project development, funded by Heritage Lottery Fund Kick The Dust. Other organisations involved in the project include: Project Scotland, The Princes' Trust, Venture Trust, Impact Arts, and Deaf Action.
