Event description
Upcycle, Recycle, Plastics-Free Custom Face Coverings Workshops

About this Event

Come along to our practical workshop to learn how to upcycle and recycle your unwanted clothes and fabrics to create 2 non-medical grade cloth face coverings.

Each workshop will last for one hour during which you will make one of six different styles of cloth face coverings that can be hand or machine sewn and a non-sew version.

You will learn how to get a perfect fit, how to create or adapt a template, and how to confidently improve the effectiveness of face coverings for you and your family.

This is Session F - Stretch Face Covering

The Stretch Face Covering is made using stretch fabric, fiting very close to the face, it sits usually without a nose wire. It can be adapted for different face sizes and shapes, and is very easy to hand or machine sewn. Ideal for family projects!

The aim of the workshop is for you to recycle or upcycle fabrics and we're working closely with Ayoka Charity Shop located at 23 Old Ford Road, E2 9PL, if you find that you do not have what you want at home please visit Ayoka, open Thursday to Sunday 10am - 5pm.

The Create Place is operating in line with the latest government guidance on social distancing and covid-19 secure measures and our workshops are limited to three participants per workshop (unless participants are living in the same household, please e-mail us for more information).
