Join us at the V21 Pottery for a memorable, creative experience making your own Gonk.
Our V21 Pottery studio is located at the V21 Sbectrwm Centre in Fairwater, Cardiff. Overlooking our community garden it's a peaceful, relaxed space to get creative with clay and a great way to spend a Saturday. Our sessions are fun and friendly, and suitable for complete beginners and more experienced potters alike. Under the guidance of our expert instructors you will learn various pottery techniques and gain hands-on experience in sculpting and glazing your Gonk. Unleash your creativity as you mould the clay into adorable shapes and give your Gonk its unique personality.
You will also have the opportunity to return to the studio to glaze your Gonk, choosing from a variety of vibrant colours and learning different glazing techniques.
Good to know:
3D Gonk Figure. (approx. height 20cm).
Materials and tools will be provided on the day.
Your creations will be fired and you will have the option of returning to glaze your item or we will glaze it for you. (Provisonal glazing date: 29 November 2025).
Workshops are open to any ability 14 years and above.
Free parking available on site, with close train and bus routes.
Complimentary tea and coffee provided.
Please note: pottery making can get messy, you will be provided with an apron but it is advisable to wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting dirty.
As a charity and social enterprise we invest all profits into our V21 projects, supporting people with learning disabilities to realise their potential. We reserve the right to cancel experiences where ticket sales to not meet the minimum requirement. 7 days notice will be given.
