🛠️ Workshop Overview

Goal:Participants will design and handcraft their own silver jewelry piece (pendant, ring, or earrings) using basic silversmithing techniques.

Duration:4 hours

Group Size: 8 participants for individual attention

Skill Level:Beginner-friendly – no experience necessary

🧰 Materials Provided

  • Sterling silver sheets or wire (pre-measured by project) Silver price is paid as extra
  • Silver solder
  • Jump rings, chains, earring hooks
  • Saw blades, hammers, files, pliers
  • Stamps, letter punches, and textures
  • Torch (with safety equipment)
  • Pickle pot (for cleaning)
  • Polishing wheels and compounds

👩‍🏫 Workshop Structure

1. Welcome & Safety Briefing (15 mins)

  • Introduction to tools
  • Basic workshop safety (especially for using torches and sharp tools)

2. Design & Planning (30 mins)

  • Participants sketch their piece
  • Choose texture, size, shape
  • Instructor guidance on feasibility

3. Cutting & Shaping Silver (45 mins)

  • Sawing, filing, and sanding
  • Applying textures or stamps

4. Soldering & Assembly (45 mins)

  • Hands-on soldering with instructor help
  • Quenching and pickling

5. Polishing & Finishing (30 mins)

  • Final sanding and buffing
  • Optional patina or antique finish

6. Wrap-Up & Showcase (15 mins)

  • Group display of finished pieces
  • Option to photograph or share on social media
