About this event

Come and learn the basics of stained glass. You will be able to have a go at cutting glass and then select from a choice of pre-cut squares in a range of colours, to assemble, foil and solder your own Christmas parcel decorations.

Moulton Glass has a small workshop based above Main 1 hairdresser's shop on Main Road in Moulton, opposite the War Memorial. Entry is via a door on Regent Street. There is a free car park opposite. Complimentary tea/coffee and bottled water is available, and there is a small village shop should you require anything else.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need any special equipment?

No, all protective equipment is supplied. If you wear glasses for close up work, please bring these.

Is working with glass dangerous?

As with all craft work, you should take care as you will be dealing with glass and using a soldering iron. However, you will be given a safety briefing, demonstrations at each step and be supervised while soldering.

Is your venue accessible?

Unfortunately, our workshop is on the first floor up a flight of stairs and there is no lift, so may not be suitable for anybody with mobility difficulties.

Our events are usually workshops where you will learn the basics of glass cutting, watch some demonstrations and create something pretty to take home. All materials and safety equipment are provided and you will be fully guided and supervised. Suitable for ages 14 +, although all under-18s must be accompanied by an adult. Workshops can be of varying length and held in different vanues, so please check the locations for details of any accessibility issues.
