We have built the table legs – now it's time to make the table tops. Part 2 of this wonderful green woodworking event is happening on Saturday 5th November. Everyone welcome – no experience necessary!

The wonderful Ben Willis, an artisan woodworker based in Crystal Palace, will be our teacher and guide as we finish the tables we've been hand-carving from locally-sourced wood. See Ben's work here.

You'll get an introduction to the craft of green woodworking, using a variety of weird and wonderful hand tools, such as the drawknife, spokeshave and axe to fashion freshly cut timber into the table components.

We'll then sit around these tables at monthly dinners – where we'll invite the great people of West Norwood to bring a dish or dessert or flowers for the table – and eat together.

Drinks and snacks provided – but please bring something small to share for lunch!
