Bad Art? Bob Ross Paint-along
We’re getting very hands on for our next Maker Monday with a Bob Ross paint-along for February’s face-to-face event, you will be taken step-by-step through one of the painter’s classic scenes to create your own interpretation. No experience is required - we positively welcome novice painters. We hope to see plenty of ‘happy little accidents’ … but will it be good or bad art? You can be the judge of that!
Maker Monday host, Mark Brill explains the attraction: ‘During lockdown, I became obsessed with two things; bread making (thanks to our Maker Monday Bread and Breadboard event) and Bob Ross. I had no experience in painting or drawing and the results were suitably haphazard. However, I found the process rather cathartic.’ Since then, Mark has continued to develop his Rossian-style, that includes hacking a painting to create (possibly) the world’s first interactive Bob Ross.
This is a participatory event, so expect to get your hands dirty, quite literally, so please dress accordingly.
