About this event

Session: Slow Sewing

Learn the beautiful Japanese art of visible mending through

Sashiko, and other methods to visibly mend your clothes and other soft furnishings. Sometimes a tear tells a tale and there are ways to make it part of the story rather than the end!

Bring any clothes you’d like to try this on, scrap bits of denim or blue cotton, or some white/cream embroidery thread to get started with.

Are you a sewist, a clothes mender or upcycler? Perhaps you have tailoring skills to share, or maybe you know your way round a sewing machine? Come and talk all things fabric with us, whether you already know your wovens from your knits, or you’re just keen to learn.

Every One Every Day in Kirkcaldy area is co-funded by Corra Foundation, Fife Council, The National Lottery Community Fund. The project is hosted by Corra. Corra Foundation is a charity registered in Scotland (No SC009481) and is also a company limited by guarantee (No SC096068).
