Candle Making with Abbey

Please note - Each ticket holder will receive a FREE package delivered to your home containing materials for the workshop.

Join Abbey from Makes Scents Candles and create a scented candle to fragrance your apartment. Launched by Abbey during Lockdown 1.0 while she was living at East Village, Abbey’s mission is to create affordable and sustainable alternative candles. Learn how to create a large clear glass, three-wick scented candle, with a burn time of 24 hrs.

Following the practical ‘how to’ session Abbey will answer questions and be available the next day on social media to answer on how to remedy if any candles have set strangely and if any follow up is needed.

Your candle kit will be sent direct to your door with the core materials that you’ll need to make a large three wick scented candle from a choice of three options:

1. Fruity

2. Floral

3. Clean/Fresh

Please note that we will try our best to secure the fragrance of your choice, but these cannot be guaranteed. In the absence of us being able to secure your first choice, Abbey will allocate available fragrances at random.

Kit contents: 125mm diameter candle glass, vegan soy wax, wicks, essential oils and a thermometer / blu tack / custom label / flower seed pack - all packaged in recycled or recyclable, biodegradable materials.

From home: A jug either metal or Pyrex/glass that’s heat safe and can be washed thoroughly for holding wax / a hob / and a saucepan for holding water.

To encourage upcycling of materials Abbey also includes a flower seed packet; so that you can bring life to your candle holder once the candle burns down, continue the fragrance by planting up your candle holder.
