Makersphere is a free one day creative technology event for all ages. During the day there will be workshops, demos, talks and the chance to find out more about your local coding clubs, makerspaces and teacher training courses. Workshops are suitable for Primary and Secondary children, teachers who want to develop skills, in the latest educational computer science equipment and general enthusiasts. Come along and learn more about programming in Scratch and Python on the Raspberry Pi and even get the chance to operate the Sense Hat like british astronaut Tim Peake , create scrolling name badges with Codebug, make music with Sonic Pi, interact with the physical world of Minecraft, build and control a Robot with the likes of CamJam Edu Kits and Crumble and learn all about wearable tech. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You can either bring your printed ticket or be able to show confirmation on your mobile
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
We are a 5 minute drive away from Preston railway station and City Centre.
Free parking is available on the school playground.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Please feel free to bring a packed lunch with you, light refreshments will be available around lunchtime.
