We are delighted to announce that you can now register your interest to attend the ‘Making a Difference’ whole Children’s Service Line Conference, September 26th 2019, 9am to 5pm to be held at Kings Community Church, Hedge End.

This Conference programme has been designed to be of value to practitioners working alongside our children and families in Solent. We hope to inspire and motivate you to look at ways of working differently and to learn about the exciting opportunities Solent can offer.

Sue Harriman will be opening the Conference and we have fantastic speakers from the NSPCC, NHS Elect, Solent Research and Development, Dan Meron and Sally Gray delivering a bespoke SCHWARTZ round and we are excited to announce that Aliyah Ali the founder of daddylessdaughters.co.uk has agreed to talk and share her experiences as a child and raising awareness of Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE) and Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE).

Breakout sessions will be in the afternoon.


Confirmed sessions so far are:-

Lindsay Cutler (Consultant Paediatrician) - was not brought policy and evidencing neglect

Johanna Johnson (Senior Occupational Therapist) - Improving Mindsets

Satty Basra & Lara Bracher (CAMHS) - Early developmental trauma and its impact
