Event description

Description

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service would like to invite you to join us for our third annual conference which explores a range of inspirational work and celebrates the difference women make.

This year we have Cormac Russell who for the last 20 years has worked all around the world on the benefits of community-driven development. His motto, paraphrasing Benjamin Franklin, is: “When it comes to Community Building ‘well done’ is better than well said.”

We have the pleasure of welcoming Naila Hussain who creates the conditions for you to access your inner wisdom and insights. Her objective is to help you to unlock your own potential, to believe in your skills and capabilities.

Jenny Pollock and Emma Shute will also be returning following last year’s success to feedback what’s been going on since last year and Salome Osia will be talking about the benefits of diversifying volunteering.

Nia Wern will be teaching us how to build a computer game, the social positives of gaming and addressing some of the stereotypes associated with gaming. This is just a sample of what we will be celebrating with motivational speakers and ‘get involved workshops’. We very much look forward to welcoming you back or welcoming you along if this will be your first event.

This conference is FREE to attend, but please note that any cancellation after Friday 10th November 2017 will incur a £30 cancellation fee.
