If so, this interesting and insightful session will be invaluable to you. Along with looking at levels of self awareness, listening skills, assertiveness and performance in meetings; we will introduce you to Emotional Intelligence and how it influences relationships and performance within a work environment. The session will also give you ideas on how to plan for your career development within an organisation, helping you to think about who to influence and how.

Aims
• Introduce Emotional Intelligence and show how it influences relationships and performance within a work environment
• Look at levels of self awareness & assertiveness in a safe and confidential environment
• Consider how to plan for career development once employed within an organisation – who to influence and how?


Learning Outcomes
• Explore the principals of Emotional Intelligence as a tool to deepen your understanding of yourself
• Raise self-awareness by reviewing your meta-programmes, how might your personal values help or hinder you within work?
• Utilise tools to gain different perspectives and develop empathy
• Consider how to create a professional image
• Develop assertiveness skills

Sally Beyer: Sally is a learning and development professional with over 20 years experience of training and coaching people from all walks of life. Along with working for the University of Liverpool, Sally has worked with many private and public organisations delivering career management support to help staff at all levels to achieve their full potential.
